Ashland is a city surrounded by marvelous mountains and rivers. It's a place where talented chefs prepare dishes that they combine with delicious local wines. In Ashland high technology is always present. It's home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and also has a rich artisan culture.
Guanajuato and Ashland became friendship cities in 1969 and in 1970 the sisterhood was formalized. Ashland is Guanajuato's first Sister City.
